LamGig Cafe

Privacy notice

What LamGig Cafe collects when you order and pay on this site or have an account here, why, who else handles it, and for how long.

Demo draft: the parts about ordering and our news and offers. Written by LamGig as a starting point for cafés that take orders through it, and not yet reviewed by a lawyer. Draft of October 13, 2026. The parts about your account and LamGig Cafe Rewards are not part of the draft.

Who is responsible

LamGig Cafe takes your order and is responsible for the details you give with it.

Our online ordering runs on LamGig, which stores your order for us and handles it only on our instructions. Payments are processed by Stripe.

If you join LamGig Cafe Rewards, LamGig Cafe runs the program and is responsible for it. Your sign-in is a LamGig account, which LamGig, Inc provides so the same sign-in works at every business that uses LamGig; LamGig’s own privacy policy (www.lamgig.com/privacy) covers the account itself.

What we collect when you order

Your name, so we can call your order at the counter.

Your email address, for your receipt, to tell you when your order is ready or if it is cancelled, and in case we need to reach you about it.

Your phone number and a note for the counter, only if you choose to give them.

What you ordered, what it cost and when.

Your card or wallet details go straight to Stripe through its secure payment form. We never see or store your card number.

If you order from our app: the app’s own id — a random code the app made on your phone, which does not name you. It comes with your order so that we can tell you on that phone when your order is ready, and so that we know which of our customers the app belongs to.

If you tick the box for our news and offers: that you agreed, the exact words you agreed to and when, and your browser’s internet address and type — our record that you asked for them.

If you have an account or join LamGig Cafe Rewards: your email address, and your name if you give it or your Google or Apple account shares it.

How you sign in — a password, an emailed code, Google or Apple — and the devices you are signed in on (for example “Safari on Mac”), so you can see them and sign them out. We never see your Google or Apple password.

If you sign in with Apple and choose Hide My Email: only the relay address Apple gives us.

If you join LamGig Cafe Rewards: your birthday (month and day only, if you give it), the points you earn and use and what for, and how often you open our app while signed in.

Orders you place with your account’s email, or while signed in, are linked to your membership so they earn points.

Why we use it

To make your order and hand it over; to send your receipt (Stripe sends it for us) and to email you when your order is ready or cancelled; to sort out a mistake, a refund or a payment dispute; and to keep the sales records the law requires.

If you tick the box at checkout, we also email you our news and offers until you unsubscribe. We never sell your details.

To sign you in, keep you signed in and let you sign out anywhere; to run LamGig Cafe Rewards — your balance, your birthday reward, the emails about your points (including the warning 30 days before any expire); and to stop fraud on the program. We do not use it for anything else, and we never sell it. The notice of financial incentive (on this site, under LamGig Cafe Rewards) explains what joining means.

Who else handles it

Stripe processes your payment, sends your receipt and screens payments for fraud. Stripe’s own privacy policy covers the payment details you give it.

Cloudflare runs a quick automatic check that an order comes from a person rather than a bot, which looks at technical details of your browser and connection.

Resend sends the emails about your order — that it is ready, or that it was cancelled and refunded — and, if you asked for them, our news and offers, for us.

LamGig hosts our ordering system and stores your order for us.

LamGig hosts your account and LamGig Cafe Rewards. WorkOS checks your password or code, or your Google or Apple sign-in, for LamGig. If you choose Google or Apple, they confirm who you are under their own privacy policies. Resend sends the sign-in codes and the emails about your points. No other business that uses LamGig sees anything about you here.

Each of them handles your details only to provide that service.

How long we keep it

We keep your name, email address, phone number and note with your orders for as long as we use them for the reasons above — to look up your past orders and answer questions about them — and as our record of you as a customer. There is no fixed date on which they are removed; you can ask us to delete them at any time (see “Your choices”). What was ordered and paid is kept for our accounts.

If you agreed to our news and offers, we keep the record of that choice while we send them and for some years after, as our proof that you asked. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your details, we keep only a scrambled fingerprint of your email address, so that we never email you again.

Your membership and points history are kept while you are a member. Points expire after 12 months with no activity (we email you 30 days before), but your account stays until you delete it. If you leave LamGig Cafe Rewards, your points here end; if you delete your information, it is removed as described under “Your choices”.

In your browser

This site keeps your current order, a private link to your order’s progress and — if you came from our app — the app’s id, in your browser’s own storage, so refreshing the page doesn’t lose them. It sets no advertising or tracking cookies.

Stripe’s payment form sets its own cookies to help prevent fraud.

If you sign in on this site, it keeps you signed in with one cookie that only this site’s own server can read — not a tracking or advertising cookie. It lasts up to 30 days, and signing out removes it and ends that sign-in everywhere at once. In our app, your sign-in is kept in your phone’s secure storage.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. If the law requires us to keep a record, we will tell you which and why.

You can stop our news and offers at any time: use the unsubscribe link in any of those emails — it works at once — or ask us.

On your account page you can see and sign out each device, change your birthday, leave LamGig Cafe Rewards, or delete your information — only at LamGig Cafe (your points here, and your name, email and phone from our orders and customer list; your LamGig account stays for other businesses) or everywhere (your LamGig account, your points at every business, and your details at every business). We email you a code to confirm a deletion. Either waits while one of your orders is still open.
